Smart Building Pilots

A range of smart building solutions will be piloted in two MIM owned buildings, improving both their operational efficiency and business functionality (as well as housing the Integrated Operations Centre that will serve as the initial control centre for Smart Iskandar Puteri overall). As these two first buildings are already well into the design process, the range of systems that could be incorporated is relatively limited. Nevertheless these initial flagships will allow for smarter approaches and technologies to be incorporated that can be then tested, upgraded and used to inform the design for future MIM buildings in the township.

Medini 7 Office Building

In addition to the initial Integrated Operations Centre, several smart elements are being introduced for Smart building systems trial which are:

- Occupancy sensors
- High efficiency emergency lighting
- Energy monitoring and consumption feedback system
- Solar photovoltaic (PV)
- Solar compound LED lighting

These attributes are being recognised as value added by Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation (MDEC) in the successful attainment of Medini 7’s MSC Status.
